Fans of Victor Ekpuk, hear word! The Lagos book launch for 'Victor Ekpuk: Connecting Lines Across Space and Time' is happening on the 5th Nov at Freedom Park. Victor's 28 year artistic career is analysed by a number of scholars who have contributed to this 400 page, full-color.
According to the editor, Toyin Falola (Ph.D) "This book captures the full essence of Victor Ekpuk’s work as an artist of global reputation, a master of mysterious scripts, and ancient signs and symbols. His messages, encrypted in symbols and signs inspired by nsibidi, find expression in paintings..."
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Victor himself, publisher Toyin Falola (PhD), cultural producer Jumoke Sanwo and art historians Kunle Filani (PhD) and Jerry Buhari (PhD).
A gate fee may apply.
