Social Media Consciousness | EXHIBITION

‘Social Media Consciousness’, a group exhibition featuring young visual artists, is currently on

show at Terra Kulture gallery. A somewhat bold move bearing in mind the proposed Social Media Bill which plans to amend internet laws to prevent 'fake news' but which in reality is a way to police what can and can't be published on social media platforms, infringing free speech.

#TerraSMC offers a new eye to Nigerian culture and history through social media. It explores young artists creating in Nigeria, who are using social media to build their worldwide audience, thus empowering themselves and others. - TERRA KULTURE

Artists in the exhibition include: Ayo Sanusi, Ajiboye Micah Adedolapo, Ashley Okoli, Chuchu Ojekwe, Eniola Korty Stella-Maris, Dan Mbo and George Igwe

These artists focus on critical issues that impact the immediate Nigerian/African and global contexts."
