Lagos Photo Festival | FESTIVAL
Sun 27th Oct – 15th Nov 2019
Various Times
Lagos Photo Festival is 10 years old this year – woah! This international arts festival focused on photography, unites local and international artists annually, all of whom are musing about the continent in one way or another through their work.
The festival continues to push its agenda “of reclaiming public spaces and engaging the general public with multifaceted stories of Africa” through photography, during a month long festival that comprises workshops, artist presentations, large scale outdoor prints, exhibitions and discussions.
This year’s theme is dedicated to PASSPORTS, that tiny official booklet that has significant impact on our lives. LagosPhoto invites artists to utilize the festival platform to explore how we might live more freely within the constraints of a world with boarders.
Specific talks etc are announced on their insta and are based in various locations, so keep a close eye on their insta for the most up to date info.
The festival shuts its doors on Fri 15th Nov. The above pic is at the festival's Lagos Island outpost (Federal Government Press Liason Office) and features photographers works by Mous Lambarat, Daveed Baptiste and Rahima Gambo.
